There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Grandparents Day is a special occasion dedicated to honouring and celebrating grandparents - for their love, wisdom and the important role they play in families and society.

Cowra Eisteddfod winners for 2025 in the Small Schools Choir section.

Sporting Carnivals are held with the other local small schools to build connections and teamwork. Carnivals include: YSS Athletics Carnival, YSS Swimming Carnival, YSS Cross Country Carnival, Arabin Cup T-Ball competition and the Phillips Shield Sports Carnival.

Crazy Hair Day is always a blast with bright colours, wild styles and creative designs.

STEAM Day showcase held at the Monteagle Hall featuring a 3.5m working model of Ancient Egypt, which the Years 2-6 students created.

Young Australian Writers Award winner "Willow" proudly holding her certificate. This competition attracts entries from students across the country who are passionate about creative writing and storytelling.

Books in Homes program - every student receives nine free books each year thanks to the support of a generous donor. This wonderful initiative helps foster a love of reading, builds home libraries and ensures all children have access to quality literature.

Our first year in the Spelling Bee Competition was a huge success. A challenge we did not shy away from!

Book Week Dress Up Parade is a wonderful celebration of reading and creativity. Students and staff came dressed as their favourite book characters, filling the day with colour, imagination and excitement.
